Optimising nutrients, improving yields: what does the sector think?

Date & Time:

July 2, 2026 @ 09:00 - 15:30 CEST

In situ measurements and remote sensing for more efficient and sustainable Catalan agriculture

How can innovation help farmers use nutrients more efficiently while improving productivity and sustainability?

This technical event will explore practical solutions to improve nutrient management and fertilisation practices in Catalan agriculture. The session will focus on field-based strategies, digital tools, and emerging technologies that can help optimise nutrient use, reduce environmental impacts and support more sustainable and productive farming systems in the Catalan territory.

The session will also create a space for discussion with the agricultural sector to identify what works, what needs improvement, and which opportunities and challenges to consider for future implementation.

The goal of the session is to bring effective solutions closer to the Catalan agricultural sector and connect scientific innovation with practical farming needs, to reflect on how these solutions can contribute to more efficient, resilient, and sustainable nutrient management in Catalonia.

The event will also include a demonstration of the Nutriplatform tool and a visit to the BETA Technological Centre and pilot plants.
